The community of Andamooka (800 people) is not under any Local Government or Council jurisdiction and is ‘run’ entirely by an elected group of dedicated volunteers and two part time employees, through the APOMA Office. We here at APOMA (Andamooka Progress & Opal Miners Association) have for the past 12 months used Emu Consulting for a variety of tasks, including community consultancy and in the undertaking of the development plans to justify the employment of a Community Development Manager through various Government channels.
